One of the most important elements of earth is Water. Every living organism needs water to continue life. Water stimulates creativity. ‘Samudra’ is a Sanskrit term, which means “gathering together of waters”. ‘Sam’ meaning “together” and ‘-udra’ meaning “water”. It refers to an ocean or a sea.

Water inspires me to create different textures and designs. I did my last and most favourite diving trip in the Andaman Islands, India. I was underwater for almost 30 minutes and it has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The life that is underwater can truly amaze you! When I designed the ‘Aqua’ Earrings, I wanted to represent a glimpse of what I saw. These earrings are very close to my heart. They have a glossy finish and are very light on the ear.

The ‘Jennifer’ earrings, on the other hand, are like the white wave. They are carefully designed to show the different colours of the ocean. Lightweight, and one of a kind. They are made using the watercolour technique, where two sheets of clay are first layered, one on top of the other. The colours representing the water are painted on top. Thirdly, they are torn apart like paper to create a watercolour effect. And lastly, joined altogether to form a new pattern. In the beginning, I can never tell what is going to be the final design, till the time it is complete. It’s like the unsolved mystery, similar to the ocean.

I love the colour PINK! It’s a very delicate and beautiful colour. Pink is very feminine and romantic. I feel that the only colour that can represent my love for jewellery is PINK. I use a lot of different shades of pink in my jewellery and it makes me happy!

One of my favourite ‘pink’ inspired jewellery is ‘Valentina’ earrings. They symbolise love, passion and adoration which goes into making any handmade piece of jewellery. They enhance your style statement. They are bold and eye-catching. If you are wearing them, trust me, they will never go unnoticed.

Earrings are a stunning piece of jewellery, they always enrich an outfit and your beauty. The ‘Ella’ earrings are designed to enhance your charm. They are one of a kind! Just like the name Ella, they are very pretty.

‘ClaraMae’ earrings have abstract designs in them. As an artist, they are my favourite kind. Abstract designs are an amalgamation of different thoughts all infused into one. These earrings have a combination of pink & blue. I think they are very cute.

For some more pink inspired jewellery, have a look at the Rosabella & Ruby Collection. Both are unique in their own way. One turns translucent when held against the light, other is inspired by the ruby gemstone. Red, pink, white & gold – when these colours come together, they make your handmade jewellery look very royal.

Everyone loves summer! I feel very happy because there is so much light and air around. Summer season is very laid back and it’s the time to start with a new fun activity. Summer vibes give us an opportunity to dress up, be on the beach, go for an adventure, and roam around on the streets till late in the evening. It’s just a wonderful time to do what we love.

Summer always gives out a very floral kind of vibe. Whenever I think of summers, I think of flowers and the cheerfulness connected with them. When you feel all summer-y, I feel sunny & bright. I designed the ‘Marigold’ collection because I think these earrings are just apt for summers. But they can also add a pop of colour to your winters! They are extremely lightweight and their glossy finish is what makes them different.

Another favourite one is ‘Kalina’ collection. I have always had a liking towards the sunflower. So, when I wanted to make something flower-like, I combined two of my favourites – Sunflower and colour orange! Kalina earrings are designed and created to capture the beauty of Summer Flowers. These earrings are artistically made to depict floral details. They are full of life and fun to wear.

Summer season gives us so many different opportunities to experiment and wear colourful clothes and accessories. Another classic for the summers is the ‘Cherry’ collection. Cherries are one of the most beloved fruits. They are delicious and have many health benefits. I wanted to use the combination of Red and White for the jewellery. This combination has always been my favourite. They are the cherries for your ear!

Last, but not the least, are the ‘Chrysta’ earrings. They are the classic combination of white and gold which never goes out of style. Earrings that have a unique marble effect where white represents calm and gold depicts warmth and power. They are very light on the ears and look extremely stylish. The marble effect of the clay makes it unique and one of a kind. It’s beautiful and very elegant.

Nature never fails to amaze you! For me, nature is a book full of inspirations. I love looking at the sky, it gives me strength. I look at the trees, they remind me to stay grounded. The ocean gives me happiness. I try to combine all this in the way I design and make jewellery. Nature’s elements are so important for any artist because we can relate and see what we are going to create through nature’s presence in our work.

Looking at the sky at night is a lovely experience. One can witness different shades of the dark sky. The universe is so full of colours and sparkles. I created the ‘Aurora’ collection in an attempt to create a piece of jewellery – for your universe. The earrings have glazing on top, which makes it shiny. It is definitely a rare find!

The infinite creativity of Earth has also been the inspiration for my beautiful ‘Avani’ collection. This collection is earthy and elegant, yet artistic!

Another great inspiration from nature is the ‘Azura’ collection. It is dedicated to the clouds in the sky. Put on this pair when you want to just relax and admire nature. Glossy finished, light-weight earrings that will remind you of the silver lining. A sign of hope & positivity.

I always think Green when I think of nature. For me, this colour is a sign of freshness, growth, and youthfulness. The ‘Forest Green’ Earrings reminds us to take care of our health, and always feel fresh and energized. They are modern and stunning. The beauty of nature cannot be captured in one frame, but parts of it can always stay with us!

The colour white always gives you an opportunity to start afresh. It’s the colour of light, purity and positivity. This colour gives us a chance to make something unique. I have incorporated it in many of my jewellery designs, and the results are always one of a kind.

A beautiful example is ‘Scarlet’ earrings. They have multiple colours in them, but together they stand for courage, passion, joy and love. They are lightweight and fashionable. The colour white in combination with multiple others makes them pop!

When using just two colours, white and blue, one can represent the art of ‘Shibori’ in a piece of jewellery. These earrings are handcrafted and they connect the traditional art to the new design. With a little hint of metal in this pair, it makes it look so elite yet chic.

Earrings are a personal style statement, they say a lot about a person. ‘Marcella’ earrings have the classic combination of Red & White. This combination is Bold & Stylish! This collection of earrings can really make an outfit extraordinary.

The word lace is synonymous to white. I always feel lace is a very fine and delicate invention for the fashion industry. Lace Earrings are very much in trend these days. But, the ‘Lacy’ earrings are not one of the regular lace earrings. This lace effect is made using clay. They seem surreal. The lace stays on top of a coloured clay underneath so that the under colours are visible too. They are beautiful and unique. Very light on the ear, so that you can wear them all day long!

I am a self-taught artist and my creative journey started at a very young age. I have always cherished gifting and receiving unique jewellery for every occasion. My love for jewellery has no bounds.

Many years ago, I saw an artistic piece of jewellery in an international fashion blog and was fascinated by it. The design and the finer nuances of the piece kept popping into my head every now and then and I could not get over it. I looked everywhere for that piece, but was unable to get it. My closest friends still search for that particular piece for me, even today. It was this incident which made me realise how much I am in love with artistic jewellery.

As the saying goes, ‘a girl can never have enough jewellery’, was the spark that laid foundation in 2020, to ‘Bella Creates’, a business where each piece of jewellery is made by hand and crafted with love. My endeavour is to always maintain exclusivity that satiates my creative process and transcends into a piece of beauty, every single time. Each design is inspired by nature, my life experiences, my travels & what I see around me.

At Bella Creates, I play multiple roles and switch seamlessly from an artist, to client facing briefs for customizing their jewellery based on their needs and style, actually creating the piece of wearable art, photographing it and finally sharing with the world the beautiful process that went into making this art and what inspired it. I am the creator, the marketer, the photographer, the cashier and most importantly, I am me….. a Bella, beautiful and unique. At Bella Creates, each day is a dawn to new learning experiences, and the journey is a very enriching.

I have fun recording BTS (behind the scenes), because life is not perfect! It is the ‘Oops moments’ that make the journey to the final success that much sweeter! Each piece of jewellery is painstakingly created with hours of work put into perfecting it. This is why there is ONLY ONE of a kind that gets made which is as unique as YOU are! Each day is a fresh start, a new idea and the process starts all over again, which personally I find very therapeutic, and enjoyable.
